SPY - 2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse Coupe

Mercedes-Benz is really insisting on continuing the testing phase of the upcoming S-Klasse Coupe, even though there is more than 1 year and a half since the company has embarked on this duty. The first official photos and details could be released in a few weeks, by mid-2010. Earlier reports suggested the Stuttgart-based constructor may premiere its flagship coupe at the Goodwood Festival of Speed(2nd-4th July) or that the name of the car might actually remain CL-Klasse until a completely new generation is launched and only then the S-Klasse Coupe badge would become effective. None of those speculation were at least slightly confirmed by Mercedes-Benz officials up to this moment.

A Nightmare on Elm Street May 2010 Wallpaper Poster Movie

A Nightmare on Elm Street is a 2010 American slasher film written by Wesley Strick and Eric Heisserer, directed by Samuel Bayer, and produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller. It is a remake of Wes Craven's 1984 film of the same name and designed to reboot the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. The film stars Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger, a role made famous by Robert Englund. Rooney Mara plays Nancy Holbrook, loosely based on the character Nancy Thompson, originally portrayed by Heather Langenkamp. Set in present day, Freddy stalks the dreams of Nancy and her friends as they discover that they all share a common link from their childhood; they were all physically and sexually abused by Freddy before he was murdered by their vengeful parents. Now a supernatural force in their dreams, Freddy kills off the children that alerted the parents about his transgressions before finally making his way to Nancy, whom he leaves for last as she was his favorite.

Sir Jack Brabham World Class

Now that we are well into the 2010 Formula 1 season, it's easy to forget that 50 years ago, Australian Sir Jack Brabham, AO, OBE won his second consecutive F1 World Drivers Championship, driving a rear-engined Cooper T53 to success in 1960.

Sir Brabham started racing in 1948, racing open-wheeled midgets on dirt tracks. He competed successfully at various levels and series thoughout Australia, and in 1955, made his move to European racing, basing himself in the United Kingdom.

He quickly hooked up with the Cooper Car Company, working with them as both a mechanic and driver. This successful alliance lead to his first F1 World Drivers Championship in 1959, and his second in 1960.

After driving for Cooper for 1961, Brabham set out on his own, teaming up with New Zealander Ron Tauranac, to build and race his own cars. Their cars had limited success for a few years.

The FIA brought in new rules for 1966, including a change to 3-litre engines. Brabham convinced the Australian engineering company Repco to develop a competition V-8 engine for his BT19 F1 racecar, designed by Tauranac.

The results were stunning, with Brabham winning four races, and the F1 World Drivers Championship for the third time. He also took the F1 Constructors Championship, the only driver to have done it. He was also the first of only three drivers to have won a Championship race in a car of his own construction.
At the end of the season, the Queen appointed him an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
The following year, he again took the F1 Constructors Championship, with his driver/teammate Denny Hulme taking the F1 World Drivers Championship.
He retired from Formula 1 in 1970. His three sons Geoff, Gary and David have all gone into successful professional racing careers.

SPY - 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Klasse

The 3rd generation of the SLK-Klasse will be premiered towards the end of this year. Till then, engineers continue to put the open-top model at various tests.

The latest spy photos were captured on a German autobahn by a driver, who was passing by a running SLK prototype. As time passes, it gets obvious that the exterior design of the mini-SL will be clearly inspired from the styling cues of the SLS AMG. The front end will lose with SLR McLaren-esque F1 nose and go instead for a largely-dimensioned one-slat radiator grille, for ensuring improved cooling and engine performance and also for giving the roadster a meaner look. As expected, the headlights will be styled basically following the new design language, thus meaning clean, smooth and elegant surfaces. LED technology is a must these days, and the new SLK will make plenty use of them. The back end of the new Mercedes-Benz model will display a sporty and angrier stance than at the current model;the tail lights will have a hint of those from the C-Klasse limousine, whereas the bumper and the exhausts pipes will be similar to those of the new models from Stuttgart.

The SLK-Klasse will retain its tinned top, which obviously is a hallmark of the car. Mercedes-Benz could come up with new, clever solutions for the hardtop, such as a panorama roof and a more practical solution for folding it in the boot, which could also save some luggage space when the top is down.

The interior will be mostly borrowed from the new Gullwing;only certain details will make the two Benzes different, such as the new multifunctional steering wheel, which will be spread across the range after the new CLS is officially introduced into series production, or the rearrangement of certain buttons and controls. Quality will be the key term inside the term:upscale materials, such as premium leather upholstery in attractive colour combos, polished metals or pure essence wood for trimming the dashboard.

There's still a great deal of uncertainty considering the engine lineup for the new SLK. What's for sure is that the new open-top model will make use of the new MoVe range of powerplants, including direct injection and turbo-charged V6 and V8 units. It is unknown at this moment whether Mercedes-Benz will offer or not a diesel engine for the SLK;the AMG version will be powered by a detuned 5.4 liters V8 twin-turbo motor, whose output could go well over 450 BHP. The official title of the super SLK remains unclear. Will it still be SLK 55 AMG or will it be changed to SLK 63 AMG?
