ASMA presents the CL PhantASMA65, a car based on the Mercedes-Benz CL 65 AMG coupe. The exterior is completely different to that of the standard vehicle to such an extent that it is hardly recognisable as something that once was a Mercedes-Benz. Perhaps that was the whole point.
Regardless, the kit fitted includes a new front end with its ASMA-style multiple grille blades and air intakes. At the rear extra air intakes are found on the new bumper. A massive air diffuser splits the four oval tailpipes nestled on either side of the car. So different is the look that ASMA reckons Pablo Picasso himself could have designed it.
The PhantASMA65 runs on shiny 22-inch wheels both front and rear while the tyres are 255/30 ZR 22 up front and 295/25 ZR 22 on the rear axle. The car's chassis has been lowered by some 35mm.
The V12 bi-turbo engine now spews out a brawny 533kW (725hp) and a monumental 1,180Nm (870 lb-ft) of torque. ASMA says the modified CL will achieve a top end of about 330km/h (205mph). Comparatively the five metre-long stock CL 65 AMG spits out 457kW (621hp), wrenches out 1,000Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque and has a limited top speed of 250km/h (155mph).
