RUMOR: Mercedes-Benz developing Black Series version for its new SLS AMG
Little has passed since the new SLS AMG has been officially unveiled and there have already appeared rumors that the Affalterbach-based tuner decided that a Black Series for the new Gullwing is highly compulsory. For an extreme level of adrenaline, of course!
Currently, the king of the Black Series range is the SL 65 AMG Black Series, powered by a pumped-up version of the 6,0 litres V12, delivering 661 BHP. According to insiders, it won't be long till the situation will change, as the future SLS AMG Black Series will appear on the stage. More carbon fiber and lightweight materials are expected to be applied to the body - in this way, the new BS model will end up weighing around 1361 kilograms. Moreover, the special SLS will most certainly boast an extreme version of the 6,0 litres V12, which may well offer no less than 700 BHP, thus ensuring a maximum speed in excess of 350 km/h and a 0-100 sprint in almost 3 seconds.
However, the car will be very pricy - provisional numbers indicate a 300,000 $ entry tag!
