Apart from certain events that took place on the track and disturbed the flow of the race along with the Safety Car's entry on the track, the 2010 edition of the Singapore Grand Prix was a plain and rather boring one. Both McLaren-Mercedes drivers pushed their single-seaters up to their highest limits in the attempt to mount as close as possible to the top positions. Sadly, it was a very frustrating race for Lewis, which for the second time since Monza 2 weeks ago, was forced to abandon due to an incident in which Red Bull's Mark Webber was also involved, thus axing once more his chances of winning the championship this year. Left alone, Jenson tried as hard as he could to reduce the distance to the frontrunners, but, in the end, he came home fourth, the same grid place he started the race from, and brought the team 12 valuable points.
