Illustration - 2013 Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse
Here you can witness the first professionally-trimmed computer rendition which reveals the possible exterior looks of the future generation S-Klasse, set to arrive towards the end of 2013. According to the image above, the new flagship limousine under the Three-Pointed Star will showcase the latest design philosophy of the German constructor, while also borrowing specific visual elements from the most recent concepts revealed by Mercedes-Benz at different motor shows in the last years. The key styling inspiration seems to have come from the controversial F 700 Research Vehicle, premiered in 2007 at Frankfurt. The exterior design of the W 222 moulds together highly-elaborated body surfaces as well as extravagant lines, which certainly make the whole premium saloon look very elegant and classy. The front end is dominated by the large, classic chromed grille, the impressively-sculpted air inlets and the distinctive full LED headlamps. The side profile is a complicated business - it closely approaches to the idea of flame surfacing, while the tail area appears to be slightly toned down, contrasting with the other sections of the car and thus helping to balance the entire upscale, intricate design exercise.
